Ross and His UFO Endeavors

Not everything in Ross’ illustrious career smells like roses. In 2014, Coulthart worked as chief investigations reporter for Channel 7’s Sunday Night news program but resigned after being involved in “a newsroom brawl”.

Ha! Well, we’re glad to have him anyway.

After an already illustrious career in journalism, Ross pivoted towards UFO research and reporting. His work has been both celebrated and critiqued, making him a polarizing figure in the field.

Coulthart’s Recent Projects

  • Starred in a 2021 TV series for Seven News called “The UFO Phenomenon,” aiming to disclose new evidence and government insights on UFOs
  • Authored the UFO-themed book “In Plain Sight: An Investigation into UFOs and Impossible Science” in 2021, though it received mixed reviews
  • Kicked off a UFOlogy podcast, “Need to Know,” with co-host Bryce Zabel in 2022
  • Gained attention in June 2023 for an interview on NewsNation where he and David Grusch made bold claims about the U.S. government’s secret UFO program

Controversies & Criticism

The Media Watch program was openly skeptical, claiming Ross was on a “crusade” without substantial evidence

Jason Colavito’s review of “In Plain Sight” was less than flattering, accusing Ross of cashing in on public UFO interest, much like other enthusiasts such as Leslie Kean and George Knapp. In my opinion, all of these are fantastic reporters and writers. It sounds like Colavito doesn’t know what he’s talking about.

An interview with Ross by Andy from That UFO Podcast on YouTube where Ross talks about hearing from multiple sources, including David Grusch that aliens have killed and mutilated humans in some cases.
