A Sudden UFO Visit to Ariel School, Zimbabwe: Children Met Aliens!

The children who experienced alien creatures exiting the craft and moving around on the roof and on the ground in front of them were all encouraged to draw what they saw at the Ariel School event in Zimbabwe. This character was particularly ominous.

This page covers a UFO event in which children were involved. There are more school cases that we’ll also cover. They are chilling. Obviously, the events happened, and we’re struggling as a species to understand why exactly these beings decided to visit schools and give the messages they did.

1994 Ariel, Zimbabwe School Event (Mass Sighting)

Date and Location: This close encounter incident took place on September 16, 1994, at the Ariel School in Ruwa, a small town not far from Harare, Zimbabwe’s capital in the country of Africa.

The Sighting: According to the children, ages ranging from approximately 6 to 12 years old, they witnessed one or more silver, saucer-shaped objects descend from the sky. Some reports say that the object(s) landed, or hovered just above the ground, in a wooded area adjacent to their schoolyard and was easily visible once the children ran close enough to have a look.

The Alien Beings: The children described seeing small beings, about one meter (3 feet) in height, with large, oval-shaped eyes. According to some accounts, these beings were dressed in tight-fitting, shiny black clothing. The children drew pictures of the beings and the craft. Some of them are haunting. All of them seem to match, as if they really did see the same thing.

The Messages: Some of the children reported that the beings seemed to communicate with them telepathically, conveying messages or images related to the environment and the future of Earth. These reports vary, but themes like environmental degradation often come up. You can read about some of the messages they received below.

Reaction: After the sighting, the children ran back to their teachers in a state of excitement and some in distress. Cynthia Hind, a well-known UFO researcher in Africa at the time, visited the school to interview the children and staff. The event was later followed up by Harvard psychiatrist Dr. John Mack, who also conducted interviews and concluded the children were not making up the story. This became a major fascination and project for John Mack who took a lot of flack for considering aliens real by his Harvard cronies.

Media Coverage: Initially, the event attracted a lot of local and international media attention but then faded into obscurity for years. With the recent upsurge of interest in the UFO topic, the case has been looked into and more documentaries and even a feature film made about the events.

Skepticism: As with any UFO event, there are skeptics who propose alternative explanations. These range from mass hysteria to misidentified aircraft or natural phenomena. But, come on. Sixty-two kids are going to hallucinate the same thing? For what reason? What cause? What natural phenomenon looks like aliens in black dress with long hair running back and forth in front of their just-landed spacecraft? I’ll bet you can’t come up with anything. Me neither.

Though decades have passed, the Ariel School incident remains a subject of intrigue, debate, and research, especially given the number of witnesses and the consistency in their accounts. It’s one of those cases that make you pause and ponder the possibilities, don’t you think?

Children’s Direct Experiences with Ariel UFOs and Aliens

Listen to the descriptions of the beings the kids recall. “He had a big head and big black eyes.” And, “His face was like this and his eyes were down here.”

I have chills listening to these kids. There have been other videos where they have found the children as adults and they still remember the incident and still are trying to understand just why it happened.

One girl said, “Maybe they’re trying to communicate with us. Show us something which we don’t know about.”

Another, Emma Jelic Kristiansen, “I think they want people to know we’re actually making harm on the world and we musn’t get too technology.”

Dr. John Mack, Harvard Medical School psychiatrist, interviews the kids. The answers the kids give him are also chilling.

He asks one small girl: “You heard a noise in the air?”
Girl: Yes.
What was it like? Like a roar or a buzz, or a hum? Or, what kind of a noise?
Girl: It was like someone was playing a flute.

And another girl… “It looked evil because it was just staring at me.”
John Mack – “As if to do what?”
Girl – “As if it wanted to come and take us.”

Another girl, Lisil Field, explained what the message was she got from these beings. “You don’t look after the planet. All the trees will just go down and there will be no air and people will be dying. They were trying to tell us something. Something to do with the environment.”

One girl as an adult said, “There was no talking. Just images in the head. Telepathic communication. We’re going down the wrong path. We have to start realizing that what we’re doing is detrimental. And, we need to make changes. They were reaching out to us. It was as if they wanted us to go with them.”

Another, “I kept getting these thoughts in my head. Technology is not helping. Technology is bad.”

Chills again. Anyway, watch the video, it’s absolutely riveting.

Re: The eyes. “I was just completely engulfed in the eyes.
